This course seeks to introduce students to the issues, theories, and methodologies that comprise a framework for rational decision-making by financial managers. It presents capital structure theory and practice, dividend policy, lease analysis, valuation, risk in capital budgeting, and use of derivatives. Topics covered in this course include present value analysis, capital budgeting, pricing, mergers and acquisitions, and short-term assets and liabilities management. Special attention is given to the problems facing the Saudi managers in the application of financial theory.
