An introductory survey of business wherein students examine and gain an understanding of the various types of business organization and its relationship to other institutions in society. Also discussed are the nature and form of long- and short-term financing and the selection and motivation of personnel. In addition, the management and marketing functions will be discussed. The course will emphasize business ethics, accounting concepts, quality management, investments, and successful entrepreneurship. The Small Business Administration will be analyzed concerning personal entrepreneurship.
